No extra hardware was needed. Took about 30 mins. to install over the range.

Additional hardware and venting is not required. It will come with everything needed to install the unit, unless you are venting to the outside. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My unit installed with the hardware provided. Explicit instructions showed how to easily convert the vent from "recirculate" to "outside" exhaust - remove a couple of screws and reposition the fan, pretty simple.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mounting hardware, I put in extra bolts to hold the wall bracket, there were several different Types supplied though for different wall stud locations. As far as vent adapter, one vent damper was supplied. Additional vent will need to be purchased.

As far as the exhaust vent I can only guess that is on a case by case basis. It had everything I needed to go threw the wall and use what was there already for the microwave I replaced.
