• A:Answer Hey Coach, If you're talking venting through the ceiling we just replaced our microwave after 8 years. No issues until a component burned out. I much prefer venting outside to get the heat out of the kitchen. As always, as long as it's installed well to include the vent pipes, it'll last. That's been our experience. Hope this helps!
