• Was there a microwave there before? Are the hole about 2 1/2 to 3 inches? I don't think I can help you with that.

• Hello. I am having the same issue. It looks like it is part of the microwave as they are both the same exact shape and aligned but not sure if this is a hazard. The microwave is brand new and although I recently realized, I believe it has been there.
