• A:Answer I was able to use the the same mounting rack from a very similar Whirlpool I had professionally installed 9 years earlier. Some plastic piece on the door latch actuator broke on the old whirlpool microwave that I used several times a day. Although this could be a cheap fix "if" one properly takes apart and puts back together, I decided to just buy a new microwave. I was lucky and the mounting plate was exactly the same. My wife and I were able to just slip the new microwave in and tighten down the bolts.

• A:Answer The rack is safe for microwave use. It is so you can heat two dishes at a time. However, they recommend removing it if only heating one item. That I do not really understand. I was leaving it in place when only heating on lower level and it was fine. But, when I placed a bag of popcorn on the bottom, it sparked when the paper bag inflated and touched the rack above it. Fortunately, no harm was done. Luckily it removes very easily because I really do not want to store it someplace else.

Q: QuestionDoes this unit use the auto range fan that goes on anytime the stove below is in use? My sister had one like that and it was the most annoying thing I ever experienced, next to shingles!

Q: QuestionAre any of the numbers on the keypad “one touch” buttons? For instance, if I just close the microwave and press the number “1,” will the microwave immediately start heating for one minute? If so, how many of the numbers include this one touch option?
