“I noticed the cutout height dimension is 3 inches higher than the top of the hinge height. i have 1.5 inch clearance at the top. Why is this asking for 3 inches? I don't want to order it and have it not fit.”

The fridge needs clearance above and behind so that hot air can escape without heating up the fridge and its parts (compressor, etc)
