• The book says to let it cool for a couple of hours before adding any contents, that allows the freezer a chance to cool all components

• 4-6 Hours is what it stated on the paperwork and I found it to be accurate.

• Plug it in and it's cold within an hour or so.

• I cleaned the freezer out plugged it in and started putting food it it after about 20 minutes. My food was fine. It seemed to have gotten cold rather quickly. I have had antsy problems so far with the freezer.
