“Can I install a ducted OTR microwave under 16" deep cabinet? I just purchased a Whirlpool Model WMH53520CW over the range microwave. My cabinet is approximately 16" deep which is too deep if I wanted to use it in recirculating mode. I will be venting it out the top and through the roof. Is this OK to cover the recirculating vent or do I need to modify the cabinet or back wall? Also, will the door open OK (the cabinets on each side are 12 or 13" deep.”
