• yes, and it is very easy. I have 3 of them in rentals and vented all of them to the outside. make sure you purchase the outside vent door so no critters come in.

• Yes, can be vented to the outside 2 ways (direct hole to the outside behind microwave or a vent). Of course can also vent forward and is set that way from factory.

• Yes it can, in the instructions it shows you how to switch the blower around to be configured to the outside vent position. As long as you have the duct already ran outside, it should be an easy install.

• Yes you just open the door on the top of the microwave and flip the blower to face the back or top depending on where you want to vent, there is a great you tube video on this old house on the topic
