Hello! The airflow control regulates the amount of air flowing between the freezer and refrigerator compartments. By changing the airflow setting to Max, cold air is drawn from the freezer and used to cool the refrigerator. When you first plug in the refrigerator, turn the airflow control to the recommended setting. You may adjust to min, for lower air flow. Thank you for your inquiry about our Whirlpool® appliances.
