“My new Model WRS970CIDM00 has a light cover in both the refig and freezer. They were taped on when delivered, but after taking off the blue tape, it will not stay on. no hinges or clips?? The Whirlpool technicians I phoned do not have answers.”

Our covers have tabs on each side that slide into the slots to keep it in place. Maybe, new covers are needed
