A:Answer The plastic latch mechanism is fairly basic. It does unlatch easy, and you do have to push carefully to secure that latch though. It should function like that, because you want to make sure that it doesn’t come loose by itself. Overall, that nice refrigerator and freezer was a nice purchase.
