“Just got this dishwasher after replacing 25 year old one. We have always used powder dishwashing detergent. Samples that came with new washer are pods and a rinse aid. Can we still used powdered detergent? And do we have to use the rinse aid? Thanks -bb”

I purchased this dishwasher back in February 2023 and I already had to have a repairman come out to fix it. The top panel where the cycle buttons are lifted up and water got under it and corroded the computer part and the dishwasher stopped working. I wonder how long it's going to last this time. I always purchased Whirlpool products, but if it happens again, they will definitely lose a long time customer.
