Dear Valued Customer: Thank you for your inquiry regarding Whirlpool dishwasher model WDF310PAAB. The hard food disposal is a feature that some dishwashers will have if you choose not to rinse your dishes and leave pieces of food. This does not include bones. Most new models today will have a filter to clean, once or twice a year, that will capture this food as well.
