- Answer Hello CMS. Model WDTA50SAKZ has a vent dry option with a heating element while model WDT750SAKZ has a recessed heating element. Model WDT750SAKZ also has a towel bar and model WDTA50SAKZ does not. We hope this helps!

QuestionHow many minutes is the Normal cycle?

- Answer There is no normal or specific run time, it depends on how dirty the dishes are. There is a sensor that monitors the drain water and it will move to the dry cycle once the sensor detects that the drain water is clean- free of food particles.

QuestionThis unit states 26 3/4” deep. How is that possible when the standard cabinet is 24” deep. Does that mean it is not mountable unless you have extra deep cabinets? I do not want the sides (other than door) sticking out.

- Answer Hello Pickering, the dimensions of this model are Depth Closed Excluding Handles 24 1/2", and Depth Closed Including Handles 26 1/2". We hope this helps.

QuestionIs this dishwasher connected to power with a standard 3-prong plug, or can I hard wire the unit to the junction box located behind the dishwasher. The current dishwasher is hard wired/direct wired and connects inside a junction box.

QuestionCan the utensil basket be moved to the door? Other Whirlpools can, but I do not see the option for this one? If not, can you direct me to a model that is similar to this one, but that has the utensil holder option in the door?

- Answer Gretch 25, model WDT750SAKZ silverware basket can only be placed on the bottom rack. Model WDT970SAHZ is similar to the model WDT750SAKZ and does come with the AnyWare™ Basket so it can be placed on the door or on the bottom rack. We hope this helps!

- Answer Hello Dave, the drain hoses are included, the power supply cord is not. You would need to obtain a Power Cord Kit, Kit typically includes power cord, metallic strain relief, grommet. (Whirlpool Part Number Cord Kit - Straight - W11365011 Cord Kit - Right Angle - W11365014) We hope this helps.

QuestionHow is this dishwasher rated for quiet?

- Answer At 47 dba this thing is VERY quiet. I don't hear anything while it is washing, all the noise is from draining and filling. This machine is insulated on the top, sides and bottom.

QuestionIs there a way to extend the drain hose on this? The one provided is way too short, and has rubber connectors on both ends, so not sure that generally available extenders work with it.

- Answer It has a sensor that will shut it off and signal an error. Knowing what the code is and how to clear it is not hard but may drive you a little nuts when figuring it out (as it did me).

QuestionDoes this model have a secure way to wash full size wine glasses on the middle rack? I don't see any pictures that include wine glasses, or which indicate something on the rack that would secure them.

- Answer I didn’t realize it, but these two rows have the tines the right distance to hold these wine glasses securely upright. And there is enough height. I can’t say if other wine glasses fit this way.

QuestionWhere are all the dishwasher controls? I can't find a picture of the controls anywhere on the website. Please provide photo.

- Answer The controls are on the top edge of the door. Open the door a little and you can see them and scroll through the settings. Once you select the setting you want, press start and an LED display tells you to close the door within how many seconds. It's pretty intuitive once you get used to it. There is an LED on the front top right of the door that changes color to tell you when it is washing, drying and done.

- Answer HEAVY, NORMAL OR QUICK are your choices. I wish I never go this thing. The top plastic black "label" to make washing choices came off within 2 weeks! These types of parts are Never Under Warranty. My Normal Wash with Dry takes 3 1/2 hours! Don't get me started on the third rack, which is useless.

- Answer Yes, the third rack is great. We liked this dishwasher but it only worked for a little over 4 months and Whirlpool has not been responsive in a timely manner. I would not recommend any whirlpool product because of the customer service that I’ve received. I bought this dishwasher in June of last year, and it quit working after 4+ months. It is now February 8 and I still do not have a working appliance.
