“The manual says “When install this refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave 2 inches min space to allow the doors to swing open.” I only have 1 inch space available. Does this mean the door cannot open at all or just smaller opening to put stuff in/out?”

Mine is 2 inches from the wall and the wall stops at the door surface. If yours is 1 inch from the wall and the wall stops at the door surface, you will be fine.
