• The temp bar don't stay on all the time, be careful when getting ice or water from the dispenser, I had accidentally touched the temperature control for my refrigerator and ended up with frozen food inside of my refrigerator. The light for the ice stays on. You are correct the temperature setting only comes on when you set it
