“Is the frig delivered without the door handles attached, including the freezer door handle. I would think so given the depth. I would think they would have to put them on after they get it inside the home.”

Yes, the refrigerator is delivered without the door handles in place to be able to get the unit through standard-width interior doorways. The delivery crew installed the door handles and connected the water line in the back as part of their service. We washed the interior of the refrigerator/freezer, the shelves and door bins before installing them.
