“When we open the freezer/refrigerator door(s), and if the refrigerator/freezer is running, it stops running. When we close the door(s) it starts up again. Has anybody else experienced this? It's not annoying at all I want to make sure it's not a defect?”

Yes...mine does the same. I was wondering the same thing. Let me know if you find out if its normal or not.

But one other user has stated that the fridge seems to be running all the time and shuts off only when opened, which could be a defect as it may increase the electricity consumption of the unit. I have had this unit for only 3 days now, so cant tell a whole lot about it. On a side note, is your doors aligned? My non-freezer side of the door seems to be sticking out when compared to the freezer side of it.
