Yes, the top left shelf is adjustable. it kind of "slides" into itself to create a smaller shelf if it is necessary. I must say, that I have had this refrigerator a couple of weeks, and I really like it. I replaced a Samsung very similar model with this Whirpool one, and it is so much better. The Samsung was a pain in the buns for close to 2 years...the ice maker was, to be exact. Thank goodness I got the Geek Squad protection....it saved me TONS of headaches!! I didn't know what to expect from a Whirpool, but I am quite impressed thus far. Feel free to submit any other questions you may have....but, avoid the Samsung refrigerator like the plague.
