Yes, there is a single bright LED that is plenty bright to illuminate the freezer. Interestingly there are 9 bright LEDs in the refrigerator section that come on slowly as if on a dimmer, no trouble seeing in there. There are two bright LED lights in the refrigerator drawer.

There are led's on the sides and on top in the fridge part, 9 total. 2 in the deli drawer and one in the freezer drawer. They are super bright and led's last forever.
