“Is there an "arm" that comes down to determine if more ice is needed? I see a plastic arm just inside and above the bin, but it is not down nor moves down. Ice maker quit making ice about a month ago. Checked water lines and not frozen. Model WRS588FIHZ00”

No, there's no arm that comes down to determine if more ice is needed.
