You can use the old hoses, change the washer,,,, But remember that they will be there for 10 plus years,, Why take a chance.. Then again if they are almost new as you said,,,, One thing to remember is that Hoses do wear out. I have rentals and over the years several have sprung a leak, none have burst.. one was the new metal covered type. Most important is to be sure to level your washer, and not let them get too out of balance. One thing i do is put the sound reducing rubber pads under the feet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally I don't think new hoses are necessary if the existing ones look fine. However, the BB sales told me that the installation company requires the metal hoses. So I bought the metal hoses.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Washer hoses are standard size old and new ones are interchangeable. However, depending on the condition of the old hoses they may leak once they are installed. If you live in an area with a high mineral content in the water that can cause deposits to build-up inside the hose especially around the connection, it would be a good idea to replace them when you install the new washer. if you don't mind running the risk of a leaky hose that could cause a mess depending on where your washer is installed then go ahead and use the old hoses.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The metal hoses are burst-proof and could really save your home from severe damage due to a split or cracked hose - they are worth every penny for piece of mind protection
