Does the surface scratch or stain easily? null

It does not scratch easily. But certain stains, like burned sugar are impossible to get out. It seems like it got into the glass somehow. Looks terrible. Looking to get a new top. Love the stove, has 4 burners along with a warmer unit.

Stain, yes, scratch, no. But you have to adhere to the instructions which caution against sliding or shaking pots/pans across the surface. Plus, do not cook Jiffy Pop or similar items by shaking aluminum across the surface. Get the Affresh cleaning kit (as recommended) from Wal-Mart or another retailer and the top will remain clean as new.

YES! IT SCRATCHES EASILY after first use and being extremely careful. So disappointing.
