“We had this purchased and installed by Best Buy. We noticed the vent at the bottom blows out really hot air back into kitchen. Our Whirlpool before and GE did not push out as much heat as this unit does. Is this a known issue for this unit?”

I have the same thing going on, so hot on my cabinet drawers under it!! nothing blocking the vent , is it not installed correctly ?? I've had wall ovens before and never had heat like this coming out of it, only had it on for 16 min and could not touch the drawer it was so hot, can't imagine cooking something for hours!!! not sure what to do!!

Please try again later.Hi mikef, for this Whirlpool - 30" Built-In Single Electric Wall Oven, The oven vent should not be blocked or covered since they allow the inlet of fresh air into the cooling system. Also, the bottom vent should not be blocked or covered since it allows the inlet of fresh air into the cooling system and the outlet of hot air from the cooling system. Blocking or covering vents will cause poor air circulation, affecting cooking, cleaning, and cooling results.
