“Looking at this unit for basement to apartment remodel. soffit over unit will be less than 8 ft so can the lower chimney section be cut down to allow for upper chimney (with perforations for non vented install) to be used without modification?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have 8’ ceilings and I installed the fan in a pre-existing cabinet arrangement. As I recall the bottom of the chimney was trimmed to the height that worked for the space. I’m attaching a photo below. Hope it isn’t blurry, the original is clear. Good luck, it’s a great fan and we love it!
