Yes there is definitely a problem with this fridge and the manufacturing. Do not buy this fridge! We have had nothing but problems with it.

Both sets or repairmen who came to try to fix it said they have repeatedly seen this problem and it is widespread. Our fridge is unrepairable and needs to be replaced, but they are so backordered that they are giving us the choice of selecting a different model from their family of brands (if we choose a less expensive one, they will not refund the difference) or waiting 2-4 weeks for a refund and they will come pick up our defective refrigerator. We are sad because they features were what we wanted but it is not a good product. I'd advise to you find another model. Good luck.
