I have hit pause and then left home for a few hours. I did not open the lid. It did not cancel the cycle or drain.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I WAS AWARE THAT THE MANUAL (for a whirlpool model wtw5000dwd2) stated that if you hit pause and open the lid for more than 10 minutes it will cancel and drain. My question was if you DON'T open the lid how long will it pause. I submitted that question two different ways two different times. I received four answers and they all stated THAT IF YOU HIT PAUSE IT WILL CANCEL THE CYCLE AND DRAIN. These answers were from the Whirlpool team. I was in the process of hitting pause and not opening the lid when I noticed MY Man SKEETER said;" he hit pause and left the house for a few hours and it didn't drain ". Low and behold he is right; if you hit pause and DON'T open the lid, it will NOT cancel and drain. I finished my test and verified it. Thank you Skeeter
