• Yes, press start/pause the lid will unlock might need to wait a few sec. but will unlock. Then add and close lid and press start/pause to start back up. Note: If more then 10 minutes will start over.

• Once a cycle starts, the lid locks. You can pause the cycle to open the lid, add something, and continue the load. It takes a few extra seconds because it "senses" the load amount to determine how much water to use but nothing I'd consider an inconvenience.

• You can open the lid if you press the start button, and it does not drain what water it has. Then when you close it you just push the start button again and the door will relock.

• You can open the lid without pausing the process right up until it starts to drain... The most that will happen is it will add a touch more water... But it will not drain the water and you wont have to start over if you dont pause the process with the button

• You can hit the start button and it will pause and unlock. Then you can open the lid. How long it takes to unlock depends on what cycle it is in and it has to stop spinning or washing completely.

• In the instructions it tells you how to do this. Just press the start button but don't hold it longer than 3 seconds or it will cancel your wash load. I've had to stop the machine to add more laundry I pressed the start button and was able to open the lid to add the laundry. Close the lid and repress the start button and you're good to go.

• Yes, push the START/PAUSE button, add another item, close lid and hit START/PAUSE button again - it will resume the action at whatever stage you paused it. I do this all the time e.g. add socks etc.
