“You did not answer my question. I understand there is a drain hose. But is draining the water thru hose the only option? Is there also a receptacle in the dryer that caputures water that can be empied out my me manually?”

this dryer sucks and i would recommend you power wash the lint screen and secondary lint screen if you want it to dry a load in less than 5,6,7, cycles.
