Smokey, yes the Washer can be installed in a closet as long as you follow the required space and depth requirements. More infomration can be found on page 3-4 of the Installation Instructions, https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/201309/installation-instructions-W10631155-RevA.pdf.
