• Yes it will, I had the Duet and just had to replace the washer with this latest Whirlpool model and it fits on the pedestal perfectly.

• No there making today's everything more of headache than ever you need to purchase the over priced stand if you want the extra space and height I hope this helps and they are over priced I payed $150.00 in 2005 now there at $300.00 just shy
