“why does this washer wash longer than first time indicated . if it shows 60 minutes it sometimes goes 90 or longer . is this normal?”

• The "sensing" cycle will change the time of wash depending on the size of wash along with the amount of water added. Also, if you select things like "extra rinse" it will add time for that and any other addition you make.

• greg- This is normal. there are sensors inside of the Washer that detect soil levels in the clothing. This will cause fluctuations in the cycle run times.
