“Should I be able to hear the convection fan when using convection baking/roasting option. The only sound I hear is the gas igniting, no fan running. There appears to be no difference between the regular and convection mode. Please advise. Thank you.”

Yes, if you got a convection model, you can definitely hear the fan. Not super-loud, but you can hear it. You should also be able to see it moving through the openings in the back.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the fan is super low frequency and quiet but it doesn't sound like a fan (at least to me). The convection oven cooks more evenly and faster than the conventional but where you can really see it is when you bake cakes, breads, pies etc.
