• It is recommended to use a vent/fan over this item if it is being installed under cabinets.

• There is a vent on the top rear of the unit. I have it slid into a peninsula in my kitchen and it works fine. The very top rear of it does get pretty hot during use, so my only suggestion is to make sure to use the wall stopper to give yourself some space there. The only downfall there, is that you are left with a gap which would be fine if this is sliding in against a wall. Aside from that, we have been using this regularly since November and have had no problems with it. For the price, I definitely recommend it.
