QuestionTrying again. It's been said that 36" is the height to the cook surface. What is the height to the top of the control panel? I need to know if it will be above my island countertop.

- Answer So I did what Best Buy said and referred to the manual and the height of the range is 46 7/8s. All other ranges list this height verses the measurement to the cooktop at 36", so it should be changed.

- Answer Floor to cooktop surface. Mine is almost counter top height. Back part with controls is about another 9" above counter. It does fit very close to back wall.

- Answer I haven't yet used them, but I think they are meant to be able to maintain very low heat so as to melt something like butter, for example.
