I just got the same oven three days ago and it is driving me up a wall! Of course it’s no refunds or exchanges. I’m very upset I’m on an extremely limited budget of zero dollars a month and this thing is making me crazy with the squeaking!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We just got this oven like an hour ago and the squeaking is ridiculous. My husband figured it comes from the two feet on the element expanding and contracting with the heat and rubbing. He put a nickel under each foot and it's not done it since. Seriously this man just saved my sanity with a 10¢ fix.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have had this range for about 2 weeks. Have not experienced any squeaking noise while heating. However I know the heating elements take some time getting used to being hot and might be just adjusting. Hopefully this helps. Thank you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We purchased this range a couple of months ago and immediately were baffled by the squeaking noise coming from the oven. It sounds like a cheap piece of crap despite our paying $1200 for it. Should have kept our 15 year old GE.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought our oven a couple of years ago. About a year later I noticed the squeaking noise when heating up. A short time later, the control panel started setting error codes. I ended up replacing the control panel and the squeak was gone. It recently started squeaking again and ultimately started setting error codes again. While waiting for my 2nd new control panel, I tried to cut the power to reboot the panel. Before turning the power back on, I firmly tapped the top of the panel like we used to do in the 70's with the TV. It's working fine now and I didn't have to replace the control panel, although I have not returned it yet either as it just started to squeak again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your tip mine has done it since day 1 its 3 weeks old still doing it, put to nickles under the feet and no more noises! Thanks.. still will notify whirlpool as it has a 2 year warranty as i should not have nickles in the oven they should deal with their oven design. Brililant hubby..
