I had the same problem with the cooktop. Almost immediately it had a ring around the burner that would not come off. It was very hard to keep clean. I also used Weiman's and that didn't work at all. I tried everything, I didn't use cast iron pans, I have no idea why it was permanently stained. It would be good if Whirlpool would address this problem because I know I'm not the only one having this issue.

After surface cools I always wipe it off with wet cloth and dry it off with soft kitchen towel or a paper towel. Every few days or when noticable marks I use Weiman Glass Cook Top Heavy Duty cleaner & polish. I got it at Best Buy when I purchase the range. Works great for me
