On our unit, it does not get hot. At a time so far we have only used three of the burners but that includes the two biggest up front. The knobs were cool. We have also used the oven and the broiler and the knobs still didn't get hot. We have only had our unit for 3 weeks now and enjoying it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.they only get hot if you leave the oven door open for a long time. they are plastic, but rather durable and i have not seen any ill effects from them getting really hot sometimes.
