Ehhh, kinda sorta. It's not a true convection oven, because the fan doesn't run constantly like in a normal convection oven. The fan in this unit is really a "rebalancing" fan that turns on for about 15 seconds once every 5 minutes, and only if you choose the "convection" option. Really, the fan's purpose in this unit isn't to shorten cook time, but to allow you to cook on multiple shelves at once and REDUCE the liklihood that certain things will cook faster than others.
