What does the pump do null

Most dehumidifiers can have a hose attachment so it can drain into your sump pump or a floor drain instead of having to remove the reservoir and Empty it. The pump in this dehumidifier allows you to hook up the thin tubing that’s included and drain the unit into a nearby sink or out a basement window.

I do not use the pump, so the pump does not have to be used for the unit to work properly.

If you don’t have a floor drain, you can use the pump to pump water out a window or slop sink instead of emptying the basket.
