Does this range get hot to the touch when baking? Our current Whirlpool range gets very hot to the touch on the EXTERIOR and we are unhappy with that. Were told to get self-cleaning bc it is more insulated? null

I do a lot of baking All times of the year. I have not noticed the outside of the oven doors getting hot.

Mine does not. My grandson, who is a toddler, likes to be with me in the kitchen and I don't have to worry about whether or not he will get burned if he touches it without my knowing. I love this oven, it's so wonderful. The only thing I don't like about it, is that the grates on the stove top itself are already showing wear and I've only have it for 3-4 months.

Oven temperature was set at 425 degrees when I checked. The oven was warm, not hot, to touch.
