A turkey can be cooked in the bottom oven if and only if the oven doesn't spontaneously shut off for 5 minutes in the process of heating the top oven. Had this happen and have opened a service call. It's not overly strenuous to remove lighter weight objects from the bottom oven (i.e. less than 10 lbs). If you've got a large turkey, you may benefit from a team lift due to how low the racks will be to accommodate large items.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I roasted two turkey breasts in the bottom oven for Thanksgiving. The bottom oven door opens almost to the floor, so be prepared to bend to place and remove items. Of course the racks pull out, so that makes it easier. I would make sure that children and pets are not nearby when opening the bottom oven because the inside of the oven door is hot.
