QuestionAre the grates suppose to only swing up to a vertical resting place? That's what the manual says, but mine swing all the way over until they lay flat horizontal away from the stove. It makes a grinding metal when it swings open that far.

- Answer Whirlpool Team. In response to your answer... I did, last week. They guy who answered looked in the manual and said it says they should stop vertical. He told me to go back to the store and inquire because if he sends out a repairman and it's not suppose to be that way, I would get charged.

QuestionWhat is the total btu’s this appliance uses? I need to run a gas line to my kitchen from the gas line I already have in my house and the plumber needs to know the btu’s for this appliance in order to install the correct size gas line/pipe. Thanks

- Answer I called repair clinic as you recommended WHIRLPOOL, and they could not help. They said if the unit does Not originally come with a griddle how are they to know the replacement part and/or part number? I would think Whirlpool would know that part number since they manufacture the dam stove that doesn't fit 4 pots/pans at the same time. So aggravated with this stove.
