Dear Customer: This dryer, model WED4800XQ, is not a true flat-backed model and will require at least 5 1/2 inches of rear clearance as stated in the Installation Instructions. For a complete list of location requirements please see the Installation Instructions packaged with the dryer or available to download from Whirlpool.com.
