“how is the power cord "sold seperately"? I understand the gas connector but the power cord? Every appliance I have ever owned the power cord was connected”

Dear Valued Consumer: Model WGD4800XQ will come with a cord. All gas dryers will have a cord included. Thank you for your interest in our Whirlpool dryer.

Please try again later.The power cord is sold separately on Electric Dryers because they may be either plugged into an outlet OR wired directly in a wall box, without a plug. If all Dryers came with a power cord, those who do not need it would complain that they are being charged for something unnecessary.
