“Can I purchase this dryer with the steam option and the 7000 version washer without the steam option and still use steam in the dryer or do you have to both washer and dryer with steam option?”

DeeR, you do not have to have a steam Dryer and Washer as they function and are installed separately.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I see no reason you cannot do that. Installing the steam option on the dryer requires a simple y pipe with one connection going to the dryer, Your installer should be able to that quite easily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We only purchased the dryer. Our washer does not have a steam feature. Steam feature requires a connection to the cold water line. You will need a “Y” connector to connect to the cold water line. Then one leg of the Y will go to the washer and the other leg of the Y will go to the dryer
