“Does Whirlpool model WGD5800 slant downward on top or is it flat? Some of the new dryers slant down toward front of unit instead of being flat from back to front.”

• It does have some flat space, but the front slants downward a bit. We stack stuff on top from time to time and never have a problem. Though i wouldn't suggest storing uncanned tennis balls or marbels on top. DDTofLA

• The top is slightly graded toward the front but you can still rest some items on top. I don't think the engineers design them just so we can put clothes on top.
