All built-in dishwashers are basically the same size. They are designed to fit into a standard 24" wide by 34.5" high opening under the counter. Actual overall dimensions will vary slightly depending on manufacturer but it will fit in a standard opening. All machines have adjustable feet to level it if your floor isn't exactly level or your opening is slightly off from standard. Newer models may be slightly smaller inside than your old one due to the added sound insulation on new machines but this will make your new machine much quieter! You can get compact dishwashers that are 18" wide but I haven't seen one in a long time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear Michelle, Thank you for contacting us with your shopping question. You will find that dishwashers are a standard width of 24" and require a 34" cutout height (which is the measurement from countertop to floor). If your countertop is only 30 1/2" tall we are sorry to inform you that Whirlpool does not have a unit that will fit. Sincerely, Sally C
