“I have been making my own laundry detergent for my old washer, will this work in my new Whirlpool Duet front loader? My detergent contains washing soda,borax,and fels napfa soap It does not suds much at all.”

This washer requires "HE" designated detergents. I would only use those to ensure my machine lasts as long as possible and does not get damaged by some unknown combination of chemicals The detergent, bleach and softeners are dispensed automatically during the cycling and if these ports get clogged, they will not work properly.
