• A fan blows room temperature air into the machine allowing the clothes to "air dry". No external duct is needed and the room does not heat up. It does take a very long time to dry though.

• Hi, I was not sure what you meant by venting, but the washer will need to have a place to drain. That can be in a sink to a sub pump or to a standpipe that will allow it to drain into the septic system. If you have other questions, please let us know. Best wishes, Melanie
